Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Marketing Manager to join VPG and drive our next stage of growth. This is a stand-alone role which involves managing our social media, organising events, optimising marketing strategies, managing budgets, and preparing campaigns and forecasts for the Executive Team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive marketing knowledge, identify new business opportunities, and enhance brand awareness and profitability. Responsibilities include maximising client engagement through SEO, SEM, social media, and content creation, working with our Business Development team, and generating high-quality leads. This varied role offers the opportunity to shape your position and support the company’s growth strategy. Passion for digital technologies and experience with both traditional and modern marketing techniques are essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build, plan, and develop the VPG’s marketing strategy in line with business objectives utilising HubSpot CRM marketing professional licence.
  • Build and develop workflows, sequences and other automated communications through HubSpot.
  • Create external marketing communications.
  • Drive our new brand and website design through working with external agencies.
  • Present campaign results, including recommendations for further improvements.
  • Create and execute marketing campaigns to maintain customer base and generate new business.
  • Prepare and manage our annual marketing budget.
  • Oversee planning, organisation, and project management of large industry events (approx. 4 per year).
  • Increase brand awareness and market share.
  • Drive our digital marketing strategy via PPC, SEO and social media channels.
  • Improve the content of the website and increase our search engine rankings.
  • Generate new business leads for the business development team.
  • Create and manage marketing relationships and campaigns with customers through our HubSpot CRM.
  • Research and develop relevant content based on our services and customer requirements.
  • Work with the pathologists and laboratory staff to develop and amend content for our blog and newsletter to ensure consistently high quality.
  • Oversee integration with our companies’ systems (e.g., PATHPORT, LIMS, HubSpot CRM).
  • Measure ROI and KPIs.
  • Monitor competitor activity, analyse market trends, and prepare forecasts.
  • Oversee branding, advertising, and promotional campaigns.
  • Prepare and present quarterly and annual reports to senior management.
  • Promote our brand at trade shows and major industry-related events.
  • Manage social media activity in accordance with the marketing plan.
